网讯 5月17日，电影《封神》系列导演乌尔善发文，称由于后期工作量与视效难度的升级，《封神第二部》无缘在2024年暑期档上映。
乌尔善表示：“我们的后期团队一直在全力以赴的制作《封神第二部》，希望用更优质的作品回报观众朋友们的厚爱与期待！后续进度我们会通过官方平台告知大家。再次感谢，我们加油！”
电影《封神第一部》于2023年7月上映，累计票房26.36亿，成为2023暑期档一部热门爆款影片，收获超高人气。据悉，第二部的故事将围绕闻太师、邓婵玉、魔家四将被派往西岐后展开，姬发、姜子牙、哪吒、杨戬将面对更强大的对手。
