《利刃出鞘1&2》导演莱恩·约翰逊继续回归执导，本片的完整标题为《利刃出鞘3: 唤醒死人》（Wake Up Dead Man:A Knives Out Mystery）。虽然剧情细节尚未透露，但约翰逊承诺第三部将是布兰克（丹尼尔·克雷格 饰）“迄今为止最危险的案件”。
