网讯 7月19日，国家电影局发布关于2024年6月上全国电影剧本（梗概）备案、立项公示的通知，由陈思诚担任编剧的《唐探1900》正式立项。此前，陈思诚在采访中透露该片是“唐探”系列电影的前传，为此在山东搭建还原了1900年的旧金山唐人街。
根据官方发布的故事梗概，《唐探1900》讲述了1900年的旧金山，一白人女子在唐人街被害，而嫌疑人正是一名华人男子，凶案引起社会震荡，民众纷纷要求取缔唐人街。中医秦福和华人阿鬼卷入此案，他们与时间赛跑，在斗智斗勇之中，终于找到凶手。
