该剧改编自同名小说，讲述在日本留学的女主洪（李世荣 饰）遇到男主润吾（坂口健太郎 饰），在经历哀切的爱情和离别后，时隔5年再次在韩国重逢展开“命中注定”的爱情故事。洪宗玄饰演只关注洪的“纯爱战士”敏俊，中村安奈饰演润吾的前女友。
《爱过之后来临的》由《朝韩梦之队》《首尔大作战》文贤盛执导，郑海心、文贤盛共同执笔，剧集将于9月27日在韩国播出，共六集。
