《夜班经理2》的剧情设定在第一季结尾两年后，大反派理查德·罗珀死后，“抖森”饰演的乔纳森将面临更新的、更致命的挑战。有消息称，剧集已经续订了第三季，而卡米拉饰演的并不是全新的角色，她将取代伊丽莎白·德比齐在第一部中饰演的Jed Marshall。
间谍惊悚剧《夜班经理》于2016年推出，是当年收视率最高的英剧，获得了两项艾美奖和三项金球奖，“抖森”凭借本剧获得第74届金球奖限定剧集类的最佳男主角奖。
