影片讲述了小镇少年黑狗达和母亲、姐姐和阿太住在一起，多年未见的父亲重新出现，一家人陪伴重病的父亲度过了生命中最后一段时光，黑狗达也收获了对生命和梦想的领悟。
该片编剧周运海是新锐青年编剧，此前曾参与过《一点就到家》《妖铃铃》《明天你是否依然爱我》等影片的编剧创作。
