角色阿索卡、赫拉、Chopper都在星战系列动画作品《星球大战：义军崛起》中登场，而剧集《阿索卡》故事背景则设定在《星球大战3：绝地归来》五年后，阿索卡曾是绝地武士阿纳金·天行者的学徒，后退出绝地武士团，克隆人战争后进入义军地下网络进行反抗银河帝国的活动。
本剧将于8月23日开播。
