在一张海报中，艾玛·罗伯茨口悬蜘蛛，而金·卡戴珊在正下方注视着她和蜘蛛却毫无畏惧。另一张海报中，艾玛·罗伯茨怀抱一个红色的球，里面装着一只巨大的蜘蛛，像是在模仿孕妇一般，似乎是在暗示着本季的主题《Delicate》（暂译名：厄孕）。
《美国恐怖故事》第12季主题设定为Delicate，讲述了一名女演员发觉有股邪恶的力量，而这股力量在阻碍着她怀上孩子的故事。
本剧由艾玛·罗伯茨回归主演，金·卡戴珊、卡拉·迪瓦伊加盟出演，本季分为两部分播出，上半部分将于9月20日开播。
