近日，真人版《海贼王》执行制片人接受采访时，透露了一些本剧集未来制作计划。他表示漫画目前已连载超过1080话，如此庞大的素材足以拍摄12季。他们此前与Netflix、原作家尾田荣一郎进行过多次交流，已深入讨论第二季的内容，对第3-6季的拍摄计划也有过大致交流。
此前，据外媒报道，虽然Netflix尚未官宣续订真人版《海贼王》第二季，但第二季剧本早已完成，只待开机拍摄。
