该片由山崎贵执导并撰写剧本，滨边美波、神木隆之介、安藤樱、佐佐木藏之介、青木崇高、山田裕贵等人主演，故事设定在二战后的日本，哥斯拉的出现仿佛要给已经变得一无所有的日本再添一击，将这个国家打到负值。影片将于11月3日在日本上映，12月1日在北美上映。
