2005年，由温特沃什·米勒、多米尼克·珀塞尔主演的热门美剧《越狱》风靡全球。描述了在哥哥林肯因为谋杀含冤入狱后，结构工程师出身的弟弟迈克不惜犯下持枪抢劫的重罪，同哥哥关进同一所监狱，拯救哥哥逃出生天。本剧共5季，2009年还推出了电影版《越狱：终极之路》。
