盖·里奇在2019年推出的电影《绅士们》以建立“不光彩生意”帝国的马修·麦康纳为故事主角，围绕他展开的一连串阴谋和新崛起的竞争对手，让他的想要转卖资产的计划泡汤，为了保护生意他铤而走险。
电影版积累的高口碑也让同名剧集受到关注，在新故事中，继承了父亲大笔遗产的男主角发现自己的一切都在传奇人物米奇·皮尔森的掌控之中。据悉，剧集将于2024年开播。
