据日媒《FLASH》报道，《海贼王》是少年Jump连载超过20年的漫画巨作，其潜力透过真人版剧集再度被见证。相关人士透露，现在真人版剧集《幽游白书》话题持续升温，与《海贼王》同时期的长期连载作品，加上海外拥有高人气的《火影忍者》，以及2022年上映票房大卖的《灌篮高手》，都成为讨论目标，“听说高层已经在讨论翻拍真人版的事。”
