共6张网讯 3月10日是“马力欧之日”，任天堂和照明娱乐公司联合宣布，电影《超级马力欧兄弟大电影》续集正在制作中。第二部会将马力欧的世界进一步扩展，是一个明亮且愉快的故事。
据悉，《超级马力欧兄弟大电影2》仍将由照明娱乐创始人兼首席执行官克里斯·梅勒丹德里和任天堂执行董事宫本茂共同监制，艾伦·霍瓦斯和迈克尔·杰伦尼克执导，马修·福格尔编剧。影片将由环球影业和任天堂共同出资，并由环球影业负责全球院线发行。
作为2023年全球票房第二名的影片，《超级马力欧兄弟大电影》全球票房超过13亿美元。按照计划，《超级马力欧兄弟大电影2》将于2026年4月3日在北美上映。
