The movie Different Drummers is a true story set in Spokane, Washington during the mid 1960s, featuring two unique boys who take on mortality with their strong bond. These two elementary school students, eleven-year-old David and Lyle, have different struggles. David is wheelchair-bound due to muscular dystrophy, while Lyle moves at an extraordinarily fast pace, having been diagnosed with \Attention Deficit Disorder\ which was then referred to as \MDB\ (Minimal Brain Dysfunction). Lyle dreams of seeing David run again, and comes up with an elaborate plan that involves a science project, firemen, drummers, the school principal, a cop and even a hand-walk across the school gym. Inspired by Jack Lalanne, a famous body builder, and his message of \intestinal fortitude and willpower,\ Lyle convinces David to join forces to make their plans a reality. 展开全部
