After her father's passing, Catherine Bomarzini (played by Sherilyn Fenn) decides to visit her family's castle in Italy. Thrilled by the thought of going back there, she invites her closest friend, Gina (Charlie Spradling), to join her for the weekend. During their stay, they come across a carnival situated on the outskirts of the castle. Without hesitation, they venture towards the festival, taking pleasure in the many exhibits and performances. After being entertained by head magician Lawrence (Malcolm Jamieson) and his team, Gina invites them over to the castle for dinner. Following the event, Catherine is unknowingly drugged and enticed by both a stunning magician and a creature of the night, who shows her genuine love and care through his gentle gaze and touch. But is this creature a real being or is it all just an illusion? Thanks to the help of her ancestor's ghost and the guidance of Martha (Hilary Mason), the castle's caretaker, Catherine learns about an ancient curse holding back Bomarzini Castle.
